Dear stakeholders,
The International Plasma Protein Congress 2006 in Prague was a big success. Close to 300 people participated in the discussions and listened to high-level presentations on a wide range of topics.
The conference started on Tuesday March 7 with parallel sessions on patient access to care, reimbursement, regulatory developments and global issues affecting plasma collection. Both rooms were filled with interested attendees and featured lively discussions. Day One was closed with the presentation of the Hilfenhaus award to Prof. Vicente Arroyo. The delegates enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Prague's famous Art Nouveau building, the Municipal House.
Day Two featured plenary sessions on industry developments, regulatory evolution and product and clinical sessions on IVIG and albumin.
Delegates appreciated the combination of a well-developed program, the quality of the speakers and presentations, the organisation of the event and the location:
"Very worthwhile event to attend" - D. Stubbings, National BioProducts Institute (South Africa)
"An interesting, enjoyable and beneficial event" L. Warren, Alpha One Foundation (Ireland)
"As a first time attendee, the meeting was fantastic!" M. Kevani, KOA Eng. (Iran)
"I am leaving with a wealth of information. Thank you!" K. Antilla, Immune Deficiency Foundation (United States)
"Great networking opportunities nad very good conference" - S. Smith, Canadian Blood Services
"Right place to meet the right people" - R. Klein, NewLab Bio Quality AG (Exhibitor)
The presentations are available for download on this website, the username and password for access are listed in the IPPC conference book.
We hope to welcome you next year in Vienna on 6-7 March for IPPC 2007. Please check www.ippc2007.com for updates regarding next year's event.
